Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was an CNN political commentator from 2017 until 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she worked in the reelection campaign of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed as deputy press secretary to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki returned in 2012 to political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] It was speculated that she was to replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21But, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30 in 2014. She returned to White House in 2015 to be the director of communications. She was a part of the Obama administration until its end.
